A Finnair long-haul jet was forced to return to Helsinki-Vantaa early on Tuesday over a technical fault.
Finnair said the fault in the aircraft's avionics system was not critical and added that the aircraft had returned to the hub because repairing the fault would have been difficult in Bangkok.
The 172 passengers were transferred on to another flight to Bangkok that was scheduled to take off at 2pm.
