The condition of the Gulf of Finland continues to weaken, according to a statement by the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) on Tuesday.

According to the institute, the oxygen content has reduced in deep water areas while nutrition content has increased. This is caused by the deep water flow from the main basin of the gulf. The hot summer has increased the consumption of oxygen and therefore in places weakened the oxygen content.
