Helsinki-Vantaa airport, Finland's main hub, is expected to see long check-in and security check queues during the weekend, particularly Friday afternoon, as many schools close for the autumn break.
The Finnish Civil Aviation Administration (Finavia) urged passengers to arrive at the airport earlier than usual and to consider checking in on the internet, by text message or by using the check-in machines at the airport.
