The Finnish government said in a statement Thursday it had updated the gaming licences of the Slot Machine Association (Ray) and Veikkaus to include online operations.

Ray and Veikkaus are government-controlled gaming monopolies.

The two organisations hope online gaming will bring in up to 50 million euros a year in extra revenue.
